Rex Nordic has announced the latest addition in its commercial heating line-up: the AIRREX AH-500i and the AH-900i diesel infrared heaters. Designed for large spaces such as workshops, warehouses, industrial halls, and agricultural facilities, the new models combine high-efficiency radiant heating with cleaner combustion technology.

The Core Innovations:
Blue Flame Burner & Infrared Heating

Advanced Blue Flame Burner Technology

At the centre of both models is Airrex’s updated Blue Flame Burner system. Traditional liquid-fuel heaters often produce yellow-flame combustion, which can generate soot particles, odour, and higher carbon emissions. The Blue Flame Burner uses a high-pressure electric fuel spray pump combined with a 180W pre-heater to atomise fuel completely.

Clean Combustion:
The characteristic blue flame indicates complete burn off of fuel, minimising soot buildup on internal ceramic heating tubes and eliminating startup smoke.

Ultra-Low Fumes:
The cleaner burn allows these units to operate without standard exhaust flues in spaces with adequate natural ventilation.

Flexible Fuel Compatibility:
Both models accept standard EN 590 diesel as well as renewable HVO100 synthetic fuels (EN 15940), letting businesses cut carbon emissions without modifying machinery.

Direct Infrared Radiation Heating

Unlike fan-driven space heaters that heat circulating air, the AH-500i and AH-900i utilise far-infrared heat transfer.

Smart Connectivity and Efficiency

Both the AH-500i and AH-900i feature integrated 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, allowing remote monitoring and schedule management via the Rex Nordic App. Optional 4G dongles provide network access for remote job sites.

Built-in safety features include automatic tilt-and-vibration shutoff sensors, overheat prevention switches, and soft-touch LED control panels.,
